What I love most about playing softball is with each game is a chance to improve and grow, not just as a player but as a person. Softball is about putting in the work, enjoying the wins, humbling from the loses and the bond you build through it all. At the end of the day, there is nothing better than making a sweet play or amazing hit all with amazing teammates that have your back.
My biggest inspiration off the field is my mom, she tells me, "No matter what, always remember what it is you love about the game and that is why you are there.", that makes me stay humble and never give up. On the field would be my coach, she leads by example, always gives me her honest self and support which motivates me to be the best version of myself in everything I do.
The moment in her athletic journey that made me proudest is when she overcame a setback and kept going. Sometimes life doesn't always go the way you planned but if you can hold on tight and ride out the rough wave, you will see it was worth the ride, and in the end, it will pay off.
