Thank you for generously supporting Isaiah in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
It isn't the thrill of scoring a goal or making a great play, it's being connected and a part of a team. Isaiah loves to be a part of a team that pushes each other to be better, celebrate each other's successes, and pick each other up when things get tough. It's about more than just winning; it's about the friendships, the shared memories, and the unwavering support the team offers one another. That sense of camaraderie, that feeling of belonging, is what Isaiah loves about playing lacrosse, and
Isaiah's parents inspire him on and off the field, teaching hard work, dedication, and values like sportsmanship, perseverance, and respect. They've supported him through everything, win or lose. They've shown him how to handle setbacks and strive to be a better person. He's grateful for their guidance and encouragement, shaping who he is today.
Isaiah teaching lacrosse to his newly adopted Haitian brother, who spoke no English, has been my proudest moment. More than sport, it showed his empathy and patience, making his brother feel welcome. He used hand gestures and encouragement to bridge the language gap. Isaiah didn't just teach his brother a sport; he taught him belonging, and that is a gift that will last a lifetime.
