Isaiah not only works hard on the field he also maintains A/B honor each quarter in school. He is great about encouraging his teammates.

Isaiah has always said that soccer is his way to get away and the pure joy it brings him. No matter what's going on in life, once he is on the field, everything else fades away. It’s where I feel most alive and confident. Every game or practice pushes him to get better—physically, mentally, and emotionally. It constantly teaches him discipline, resilience, and focus. It also teaches him how to lose gracefully but take that loss and turn it into a learning experience for the future.
Isaiah is inspired by his Pop-pop who has always taught him reliance and education are things that can never be taken away from you. Study hard and focus will pay off in the future. He has the quote by Deon Sanders on his wall in his room and says he thinks this daily and applies. "If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, they pay good"
Smithfield High School Varsity soccer team went to States again this year and were knocked out in the semi finals. When I called to speak to him he was crying. I told him don't cry, you are a Sophomore and went to states last year too. You still have 2 more years to try and win states. His response made me proud, he said "Mom, I am not crying because we lost. I am crying because I am going to miss several of the seniors who are graduating this year. I will miss playing with them win or lose."
