What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about playing sports is success—not just winning, but finding a way to grow and improve through every game, even in defeat. I’ve learned that true success isn’t always about the scoreboard. It’s about resilience, effort, and lifting up those around me. As a leader, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my teammates succeed. Their victories are my victories, because a leader is nothing without the team that stands beside him.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My teammates inspire me the most. They’re the ones who pick me up when I’m down and push me to be better, on and off the field. I believe the energy you give is the energy you get, so I always bring positivity, effort, and respect—because that’s what I hope to receive in return. Over the years, I’ve had many teammates, but what makes someone a true teammate is the bond you build. That connection, that brotherhood, is what drives me and inspires me every day.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the proudest moments in my son’s academic and athletic journey was when he was recognized at a tournament and offered a spot on a team sponsored by the MLB’s Detroit Tigers. He had the chance to take batting practice on a professional field and nearly hit a home run, smacking the top of the fence. Watching him rise to that moment with confidence and talent was unforgettable—it showed me how far his hard work, discipline, and love for the game have taken him.
