What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Issa has loved playing soccer since he was around 5 years old. He enjoys the challenge the game brings and the excitement of constantly improving. One of his favorite parts is the strong sense of community—both with his teammates and the supportive parents. He takes pride in being able to use both feet to take powerful shots, a skill that sets him apart on the field. Soccer isn’t just a sport for him—it’s a passion that brings him joy, confidence, and connection

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Issa is inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo, admiring his dedication, skill, and how he continues to play at a high level even at 40. He looks up to the way Ronaldo puts his heart into every game and takes care of his body to stay in top shape. Off the field, Issa’s biggest motivation is his family. Our love and support mean everything to him—we attend every game, cheer him on, and remind him that no matter what, we’re always proud. We are his greatest fans and his strongest drive.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There are many proud moments in my son’s athletic journey, but the one that stands out most is when he was named captain of his team. It meant so much because it reflected his leadership, dedication, and heart. He supports his teammates, keeps their spirits up, and always leads by example. He never misses a practice or game and gives his all every time he steps on the field. Seeing him earn that role made me incredibly proud of the person and athlete he’s becoming.
