What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

In Izzie’s words “everything!” Izzie loves to have fun but also loves competing. Sports are the perfect mash-up of both. She enjoys playing sports with her friends because of the camaraderie and how they push each other to be better. She also loves playing sports with her 4 little sisters and helping them learn new skills. One of her most favorite things about playing sports is having her Dad as her coach. They spend so much time together and he has taught her so much both on the field and off.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My Daddy inspires me the most because he is the best coach, and also the best Dad. He never gives up on me, and he inspires my teammates and I to work hard and get better. He runs our whole soccer league, and he works so hard. That makes me want to work hard too. He is always there for me on and off the field, and he loves me no matter what. Even if I have a bad game or practice, it doesn’t change how he feels about me. My Daddy helps me to be the best I can be, and he is the best Daddy ever.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Izzie makes us proud every day. She is a beast on the field and she works hard to be the best she can be in everything. While she is a talented athlete, what makes us proudest is her sportsmanship. She doesn’t get caught up in the craziness that can be competitive youth sports. She is always encouraging to her teammates even when they’ve made mistakes. Her heart is so big, and she is the type of teammate and friend we should all aspire to be.
