What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Izzy loves playing box lacrosse because it pushes her to be fast, fearless, and focused. She thrives in the fast-paced action, reading plays in real-time and always knowing exactly where she needs to be. With a sniper of an arm, she’s a serious scoring threat—yet it’s her grit and willingness to get physical for her team that truly sets her apart. Izzy plays with heart and hustle every shift, helping lead her team to three consecutive provincial championships!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Izzy is inspired by her head coach and coaching team, especially Coach Phil. She’s played under him for two seasons, and his uplifting, motivating style has helped her grow as both a player and teammate. He knows each girl’s strengths and works with them individually to build their confidence and skills. His belief in the team is unmatched. Of all the coaches Izzy’s had, none compare to Coach Phil and the impact he’s made on her game!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Izzy makes me proud every time she steps on the floor. She plays for the team, not for the spotlight. She never needs to be the top scorer and always looks for ways to help others succeed. She understands the game, shows up to every practice ready to work, and gives it her all. Her selflessness, heart, and dedication have shaped her into an incredible young athlete, and watching her grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life!
