What I love most about track isn’t just the medals or the wins. It’s the journey. The early mornings, the tough practices, and the quiet moments when I am the only one on the track, chasing a dream no one else can see. But most of all, I love how track has shaped who I am. Stronger, more focused, and more determined. It’s not just about running fast.
On the track I’m inspired by athletes who give everything not just the fastest runners, but the ones who keep going no matter what. I look up to people like Quincy Hall because he competes with heart and lead with humility. Off the track, I’m inspired by my Mom and Aunt because they’ve shown me what real dedication looks like not just in sports, but in life. They’ve shown me that greatness isn’t just about winning it’s about how you carry yourself when no one’s watching.
One moment in my athletic journey that makes me the proudest was when I got second in state. It wasn’t just about the time or the placement it was about everything it took to get there. The hard practices, the doubts, the days I felt like quitting. I pushed through it all. In that moment, I realized how much I’d grown not just as an athlete, but as a person.
