She also loves the thrill of being in the game and getting in the zone and mindset of playing her best no matter the circumstances. She knows that there is always room for improvement so she works just as hard outside of the game. Being an athlete for her isn’t just a sport but also a lifestyle.
Her older cousin (Kj) who is also a multi-sport athlete inspired her from a young age. She used to play and practice with him even before she had the interest of playing any sports herself. She saw that sports made him stronger, and more disciplined while also continuing to have fun. He continues to excel which makes her want to be just as good as him. He’s her inspiration.
The moment that makes me the proudest during her athletic journey is the growth that I continue to see on and off the field. Even when she is under pressure she continues to keep a level head and always shows good sportsmanship. That gives me comfort in knowing that no matter how hard life gets, she will always find balance and make great choices. I’m her biggest fan.
