Receive Text UpdatesI think Jaelen loves track because it’s where he feels free, focused, and fully himself. It’s just him and the clock—and he embraces the grind. But in relays, he brings that same fire to the team, where individuality meets unity. From winning the Junior Olympics to breaking records with his 4x1 squad, he thrives on pushing limits—alone and together. Track brings out purpose, and his best lifts others too.
On the track, Jaelen is inspired by Kobe Bryant—not for basketball, but for the Mamba Mentality: relentless work, focus, and pushing past limits. Off the track, it’s his family that drives him. He’s grown up around discipline, faith, and humility, and that’s shaped how he carries himself. He knows who he runs for and where he comes from—and that keeps him grounded while chasing greatness.
What makes me proud of Jaelen’s journey is how he keeps surprising me. I knew he could win races—but it’s how he wins that stands out. He’s a 3x Junior Olympics 400m champ, winning the 200m twice too—unexpected but earned. This year, as a freshman he was runner-up at the CA CIF State Finals, won this CIF D3 400m, and took 1st at the Brooks PR Invitational. —now he’s setting the standard.
