Jaelyn loves playing softball because it’s fun and makes her feel confident. She loves pitching and being in control of the game. It helps her forget everything else and just focus. Her teammates are like family, and they always hype each other up. Softball is her favorite thing to do.
Jaelyn is inspired by her dad because he works really hard and never gives up. He always believes in her, no matter what. He pushes her to do her best and reminds her to stay focused. On and off the field, he’s always there for her. She wants to make him proud.
One moment that makes us the proudest is when Jaelyn pitched all 9 innings in an extra-inning game. It went into overtime, and she never once made a face or showed she was tired. She stayed locked in the whole time, focused and calm. Her attitude and determination showed how tough she really is. That game proved she’s a true leader on the field.
