What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What my son loves most about playing baseball is the sense of teamwork and the bonds he builds with his teammates. He thrives on being part of something bigger than himself; working together with his teammates, celebrating wins, and learning from losses. He also loves the thrill of the game; the crack of the bat, the strategy behind each play, and the rush of making a great catch or hit. Baseball gives him confidence, discipline, and joy, and it’s where he feels most alive.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

On the field, my son is inspired by Juan Soto. He admires his confidence, focus, and the way he plays with heart every single game. He looks up to Soto’s ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver in big moments. Off the field, his biggest inspiration is his dad. He sees how hardworking and supportive he is, always showing up, encouraging him, and setting an example of what dedication really looks like. What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment in his athletic journey that makes me proudest was when his team was down late in the game, and he stepped up to the plate with so much determination. He hit a clutch double that brought in the go-ahead runs and completely shifted the momentum. His hit helped his team take the lead and ultimately win the game. It wasn’t just about the play itself, but the way he stayed focused under pressure and came through when his team needed him most.
