James's main sport is baseball, and what he loves most is the competition. He absolutely thrives when the pressure is highest, consistently rising to the occasion when his team needs a boost. He's also incredibly dedicated to becoming a better player, constantly working on his batting and pitching. The thrill of competitive play combined with personal growth is his true joy. James favorite position is Pitcher. James has had some truly amazing games pitching and loves the challenges he faces.
My 11U baseball coach, Coach Wolf, inspires me to be a better player. He is a tough coach, but he expects the best from each of his players. He holds everyone accountable, while at the same time making sure we are learning and having fun. He has helped me to become a better overall baseball player, and has helped me to understand the game and what is needed to succeed. With his help, I have become a much better pitcher as well.
While every day makes me proud of James, his growth in baseball's mental game stands out. Baseball is incredibly tough mentally for kids due to constant failure (striking out, getting thrown out). He used to let this get him down. This year, his mindset has transformed, showing remarkable resilience and leading to immense personal growth. That's my proudest moment.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
