Receive Text UpdatesJameson loves Taekwondo for many reasons. It is an amazing sport that gives you discipline as you learn Poomsae which serves as a fundamental part of training. Those skills are used to develop and refine techniques, stances, and coordination. Next he learned board breaking, and then for him (as he does not have his lower arms) the art of mastering his kicking skills.
Jameson is mostly inspired by us -his parents and by his grandma whom is widowed and who has helped fund this journey so far and it hasn’t been easy. And his aunt Cat who also did Taekwondo but sadly passed away at the age of 33 from complications of a very rare systemic Scleroderma disease.
It makes me as his mom so proud to see how strong he has become. When I was about to give birth to him the doctors told my husband and I that he may not even survive birth, and to this day no one can tell us why he was born without his lower arms. But this kid is so amazing at anything he tries. He also has a little brother and sister (born with their arms) that look up to him and adore him!
