I love wrestling because it shows me if I can wrestle, I can overcome anything in life if i wrestled.It has showed me how to take a loss and bounce back from any set back, while also teaching me how to control my emotions. I love the constant chase of getting better and knowing that there is ALWAYS competition which drives me to be at my best. Wrestling is more than a sport to me, it’s a way of life.
Someone who inspired me on the mat is coach Ike. He’s like a wrestling dad to me and has always shown me, whatever you put your mind to in life, you have to work hard to reach your maximum potential.
What makes me the proudest in my athletic journey is placing 6th in the district and being only a match away from state. I also love the community I’ve built with my teammates and being able to witness all us tackle our wrestling goals together.
