What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jamie’s passion for football runs deep. His favorite part of the game is rushing the ball, charging through defenders, refusing to be pushed around, and giving it everything he’s got. When the ball is in his hands, he enters a zone where nothing else matters. But more than the rush, Jamie loves the bond he shares with his teammates and coaches. Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Jamie is inspired by the people who are always in his corner — his mom and his Boober (grandma). When he’s rushing the ball, he listens for their cheers and pushes harder just to hear them scream even louder. Their voices give him energy and drive. Off the field, it’s his dad and his Papa who keep him sharp. They’re always giving him tips, teaching him drills, and showing him how to grow not just as a player, but as a person. Jamie plays for his team — but he’s fueled by his family.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

As a mom, the proudest moments aren’t always about touchdowns or wins it’s watching Jamie find his true passion. On the field, he just knows where to be. His instincts kick in, and it’s like he sees the whole game unfolding before it happens. One moment that stands out is seeing him block a player, and instead of stopping there, he took off down the field full speed to chase down the kid with the ball. Jamie doesn’t quit. His heart, hustle, and love for the game show in every play.
