Receive Text UpdatesWhat Jarrell loves most about being a soccer goalkeeper is the thrill of being the last line of defense. The pressure, responsibility, and ability to make game-changing saves are exciting! He enjoys the mental focus, leadership, and trust from teammates. Every save is like a personal victory and a boost for the whole team.
Jarrell is inspired by Team USA goalkeeper Matt Turner. He is influenced by Turner because he went from being undrafted and overlooked to becoming a top goalkeeper for the U.S. Men’s National Team. Turner did not start playing soccer until he was older, and faced difficult odds. However. his relentless work ethic, perseverance, and self-belief helped him rise to the top. He showed that hard work and dedication can defy the odds. Jarrell tries to emulate that dedication in his own young career.
Jarrell had a game that truly stands out above the rest. It happened last season. His team was playing the #1 team in the league, and his team was #2. Most of the 2nd half, his team was down a man. There was shot after shot after shot on goal, and Jarrell saved every single one. His team won 1-0! He played lights out, and he still thinks about that game.
