You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
When I asked my son what he loves most about playing baseball, his response was “Like a lot of things. When I hit good, make good catches, and when I play good in general. Learning new things at practice and then using them in a game to help the team win.”
When I asked my son who inspires him on or off the field and why, his response was “Dad because he tells me to eat more for gains and he says if you want to get better you have to put in the work. He says if I work hard then when I get out there then I’ll have fun.”
There are so many moments that make me proud, it’s difficult to pick just one. My son was picking up with a team 1 season, and was more consistent showing up for games than some of the kids on the actual team. At the end of the season championship game, the team lost and took 2nd & my son was handed a ring but then there wasn’t enough rings for each kid, so he willingly and without hesitation gave his ring to another kid who didn’t get one. What’s important to him is the progression, not prizes.
