He just enjoys being out on the field having fun and competing! He is always working to improve on and off the field which signals he is passionate about baseball and being a great player and person overall.
Ronald Acuña Jr DEFINITELY inspires Jasiah to play, and of course being able to see him play often (we live in Atl) is always something he’s up to do. In addition, his brother Isaac surely inspires him. He looks up to how his brother played D1 football at UGA, graduated, went to medical school and recently graduated from there too. All while being a great young man and awesome big brother.
The proudest moment for me as his mom was when he was in a hitting slump and playing against older boys throwing a lot faster and harder than he had been used to. He’d look over at me from inside the dugout with the face of defeat. But he didn’t give up. It took him awhile to realize he needed to adjust and what to adjust. But when he did, 2 big hits deep to left for RBIs and a run was what he dug down and pulled out. Proudest day for me as a baseball mom for sure!
