What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She loves how it helps her express myself on the mats. She can escape from reality. BJJ is like a second home. If she doesn't play the sport for a week, its like she is missing something in her life. BJJ has become more then just a passion its a necessity.


Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Off the mats her mom inspires her by seeing her work hard in everything she does and her focus in life. My dad for this dedication and life long love of sports. The thirst for sports defiantly comes to her from her dad. On mats - her female couch who she has known since she started BJJ has inspired her because of her motivation and dedication to the sport. She has always looked up to her and continues to do so.


What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Shes still waiting for that moment. This is just the beginning. Her first gold medal has defiantly encouraged her to continue in this sport.
