My mom is my biggest inspiration and supporter. She works multiple jobs to make sure I have what I need and want. She always puts me first. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t know what kind of young man or athlete I would have been.
I’m proud of him daily. But I can recall that last year he had a hitting slump. He came home from practice upset. I met him at the door and he cried in my arms. A friend of his came by and had a talk with him. That night, he was on his knees crying and pleading with God to help him. To get the negative thoughts out of his head and help him through this difficult time he was having. The next week, he started hitting. He even hit an out the park home run, only player on the team that did.
