What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jaxon’s love for basketball isn’t just a phase—it’s who he is! From the moment he picked up a ball, he was hooked. He’s told me time and time again: it’s the feel, the bounce, the rhythm—it just makes him feel alive. When he starts dribbling, the world fades away. No one has to remind him to play; he’s out there every day with excitement, drive, and pure joy. Whether it’s a park pickup game, house league, or rep team, Jaxon shows up with heart. His passion is real, its deep, and its contagious!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Jaxon always looked up to Kobe Bryant- who wouldn't be inspired by that Mamba Mentality? But lately, his biggest inspiration has been Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Not only is Shai repping their shared home country of Canada, but he started out playing for the same YAACE rep team Jaxon's now growing with. Seeing Shai rise to MVP and championship status with OKC proves to Jaxon that with relentless hustle, dreams can become reality

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One memory that always makes me smile is when Jaxon made his very first rep team. He was the new kid--excited, nervous, and trying to figure it all out. While most kids dream of sinking threes, Jaxon learned how to be a true teammate-just as important! Fast forward to the big season-ending tourney.. he's sick, misses day one, then shows up stuffy and jersey-less. But he played in a t-shirt, hyped up his team, hustled hard-and won MVP! Total proud parent moment.
