What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Feeling competent and successful is a strong motivator, along with desire to improve and master new skills. The thrill of competition and striving to win is a powerful. He has learned a lot of lessons in being a leader and teamwork. Wanting to see his peers have success as well. He has self-confidence, motivation, discipline, and resilience and loves pushing himself out of his normal comfort zone. Playing the sport itself. The challenge of competition and reaching new personal goals is true love


Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Coaches that have provided constructive criticism that focus on his improvement, rather than just pointing out mistakes. As parents, he has been taught that the process, not just the outcome is hard work and learning are just as important as winning. Good Coaches and parents have instilled learning opportunities, and that effort leads to improvement. Whoever supports his craft with enthusiasm and respect has given him the inspiration to try harder and always set goals high yet reachable.


What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The proudest moment was when we talked to Jax about stepping out of his comfort zone to give him the next level necessary, playing football He had outgrown town rec football and didn’t need to work harder because he wasn’t being challenged anymore. Jax played football with his team from 5 years old until 10. At 11 he began getting multiple offers to play for different teams, realizing it may be time to move forward. We presented him with some choices allowing him to ultimately be part.
