His parents, hitting instructor, and team coaches by not only setting the example for him, but also by always believing in his potential, teaching him to work hard, stay humble, never give up, and follow Jesus.
One moment that makes me proudest is when my child was cut from a team early in the season but he refused to give up. Instead of quitting, he kept training and stayed focused. Mid-season, he earned a spot on another team and showed more determination and heart than any win ever could. That setback became the start of their strongest season yet. He is my favorite athlete to watch and I couldn’t be more proud of the athlete he is, but more importantly, the person he is.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
