My son Jay Lopez is definitely youth athlete of the year he loves to run track, runs Monday- Wednesday and every Saturday runs a 5K!

Jay loves being active, finding his own pace and beating his own time every run! He enjoys meeting new people and keeping up with adults. He loves to share his experiences and invite family and friends to go run with him! Nothing makes him more happy than for him to go on a run or walk and enjoy nature!
His Grandmother, she invited him to his first 5k and ever since then he hasn’t stopped! They have signed up to multiple runs and have completed many throughout Houston!
Completing his first 5K and keeping up with adults! He has shown throughout his journey that he is his own competition. He does not try to outrun anyone else he simply stays focus and wants to finish within a certain time frame! Every time he crosses the finish line he is overjoyed and loves receiving a medal!
