A basketball game last season, his team was down, and everything seemed to be going wrong. During a timeout, as the coach was trying to rally the team, I saw my son walk over to a teammate who just missed a crucial free throw and had his head down. My son put an arm around him, said something quietly, and clapped him on the back. A few minutes later, when that player made a shot, my son was the first to cheer, truly celebrating his friend's success more than anyone else on the court.
