What I love most about playing sports is the feeling of freedom and focus it gives me. When I’m in the game, everything else fades away — it’s just me, my team, and the goal. I love the rush of competition, the challenge to push past limits, and the way sports constantly teach me about discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Win or lose, I always walk away stronger.
My son is inspired by people who lead by example — both on and off the field. On the field, he looks up to athletes who play with heart, hustle, and integrity — the ones who give their all and uplift their teammates no matter the score. Off the field, he’s inspired by family, coaches, and mentors who show him what it means to be disciplined, humble, and kind. He sees greatness not just in talent, but in character — and that’s what drives him to keep growing every day.
One of the proudest moments in my son’s athletic journey was the time he didn’t give up — even when it would’ve been easy to. There was a season where things weren’t going his way. He was frustrated, maybe even discouraged, but he kept showing up, kept giving his all, and supported his teammates with heart. That kind of perseverance, maturity, and grit showed me that he’s not just an athlete — he’s growing into a strong, grounded young man.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
