What Jazlyn loves most about playing volleyball is how much teamwork and connection it takes to win. Jazlyn also loves how close she becomes with new teammates every year and building relationships and bonds. She also loves how much adrenaline and energy goes into the sport, she might be small but she is the loudest one on the court. Jazlyn also loves how challenging this sport is mentally and physically.
Who inspires Jazlyn the most would be her family. Jazlyn looks up to her parents the most though. Jazlyn states “They are always working hard for me and my sister to have the life we have, and work hard to play the sport I love.” Jazlyn also looks up to her cousin “Kat.” She is one year older than Jazlyn and plays volleyball as well. Jazlyn aspires to be as good and as loud as her on the court everyday.
The moment that makes me the proudest in Jazlyn’s athletic journey is when she got named Captain for her first and her latest club season. This moment makes me the proudest because it shows how much she can be a leader for her teammates and how much her coaches depended and trusted her with this role. Another reason is her being able to stand up for her team and having that role to be there for Jazlyn’s teammates on and off the court.
