Written by her: “I enjoy being able to travel and make new friends with people I never thought I would meet. Not only that, I love having something that keeps me active both on the track and my day-to-day life, as I work out and keep my body in shape for the sport. Roller derby has given me plenty of new emotional and physical experiences along with more confidence and appreciation for not only my sport but all other sports.”
“My coaches inspire me the most. They are strong, hard working, and resilient, willing to take any feedback or nit-picks necessary. They are also very talented in what they do and always set up great practices for my team. I enjoy watching them play as it gives me something to study so I can improve myself further. They are some of the toughest people I know!”
As a seasoned skater she goes to practices for new skaters on her days off to help her coaches. This not only helps her coaches but it builds up her team by building up the new skaters quicker, and gives them a friendly face when they move up. Seeing her step into this small leadership role to help her team makes me extremely proud!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
