You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Jeremiah loves soccer because the sport brings him joy. He is the happiest when he is on the soccer field or even spectating. He admires the skill and talent necessary to be successful. He also enjoys learning new skills like rainbow flicks and perfecting them to perform at just the right moment in a game.
Jeremiah is most inspired by God. He firmly believes that his talent and potential is a gift from God and strives daily to use his gifts and talents not only for himself but to inspire others around him. He believes on and off the field that God is first and he is second. This mindset is demonstrated in the way that he trains rigorously, plays hard, but most importantly how he treats his teammates, coaches and opponents.
As a parent, one of my proudest moments came not in a high stakes championship game but in a regular practice. After losing a scrimmage his team had to do laps around the field. While doing his laps he noticed one of his teammates struggling. He slowed down, put his arm around him and ran the rest of the laps alongside him, encouraging him to keep going. This moment was my proudest because it wasn't about winning a game, or performing an amazing feat, but it showed his heart for others.
