Jessika loves getting muddy and dirty on the field, but above all, she competes in a way that pushes herself and her team to be their absolute best each time they play together. Jessika leaves everything on the field and has learned how to excel as a teammate off the field too.
My coaches and my teammates inspire me every practice and game because I know that I am playing to make them proud and to support them as best I can. A team is nothing without having the ability to rely on and trust each other. My parents also inspire me because I know they believe in me and have sacrificed many things for me to be able to be at this game, in this moment, to play my heart out.
Our final game of my senior season was such a whirlwind. We were down almost the entire game, but as a team we didn’t give up, and even though I was in the back guarding the goal, our forwards and midfielders carried us through the final minutes of that game to score 3 goals, one after the other. It was surreal and so exciting! I remember sprinting to the other side of the field and celebrating as a team. We worked so hard to reach this point, to finally earn the title of Section Champions!!
