What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jessilyn loves the competition and the team camaraderie with all of her travel and school teammates. The biggest takeaway she has had from any team is her lasting friendships. She has played from the school level to travel level. Which has introduced her to people all around the country. From coaches to players. She lives, breathes and dreams softball. That is her primary and the sport she wants to play at the next level.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

She watches softball, baseball and basketball on TV. So she does look up to many athletes. From her favorites in softball like Ana Gold, Grace Lyons, Sis Bates, just to name a few current or past players. And of course in basketball, Caitlin Clark for everything she has accomplished as an athlete. She also looks up to her uncle John Schneider. Who has played and coached at such a high level. She highly respects and values his opinions.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There have been a few moments that I can say have made us proud. Hearing her name called over the loud speakers at the OKC WCWS field when she played in USA Softball 12u All American. It was a surreal moment to hear her name at the place she aspires to play at one day. Or coming back from an injury this year during high school season. Stealing home to bring in winning run at the FL HS State Championship this year with her softball team. Watching her play & succeed has been a joy. Proud always!
