Jeter is the only boy in our household, but when he steps on the field, he’s surrounded by his brothers ..his team. They inspire him not just to play hard, but to lead with heart. It’s a joy to watch a young boy so in tune with his emotions, taking ownership of how he feels and understanding that his attitude sets the thermostat for everyone around him. Off the field, Jeter is inspired by the love and strength within our family. It’s connection that drives him.
I’m proud that he knows that all gains come from consistency . His work ethic didn’t come over night , but he saw what he wanted and he didn’t hesitate to do the work .. when it was hard , when it meant he had to give more academically .. when the win was not easy or guaranteed he consistently showed up for himself in math and on the field . It took goal setting and him putting his mind to mastering the art of something foreign to do what fills your cup . Watching him be resilient made me proud.
