What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love to be competitive and travel the US making friends with other players from so many different teams. I get the chance to try new things and work with coaches who teach me new skills I can use on and off the field.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Jose Trevino. Jose is a catcher and is from Texas, so am I. He had people who believed in him and helped him get to where he is and I have a lot of people who believe in me and have helped me stay in the game when we weren't sure how to.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Our proudest athletic moment of Joel is when in 2024 in Portland Texas at the Winter World Series. The boys were in the championship game, Joel crushed a homerun way out into the parking lot scoring the only run of the game for our team. He won the MVP award for this hit and for pitching lights out the prior game. Standing next to Jose Trevino who autographed and presented the finalist banner to Joel.
