Joey love having fun and competing with her friends and also making new friends and getting closer to teammates over the years. She has been playing soccer and running track with some teammates for 5 years now.
Joey is inspired by professional athletes who do what they love to do for a living. Joey has said that she doesn’t want to work a normal job. She wants to play soccer for team USA like Sophie Smith and Trinity Rodman.
Joey just recently participated in her first year of USATF outdoor track and field; so this entire season has been one big proud moment. I am so proud of how dedicated she has become to getting better, but also her work ethic off the track. She has improved every track meet and she consistently watched instructional videos from Noah Lyles and studies Shi’Charri Richardson races. She placed top 4 in regionals and qualified for nationals in the 100, 200, and 4x1 Meters.
