Small victories, the excitement in working for a goal and reaching it. Baseball is his absolute favorite, he is a utility player all day long and is up for the challenge. He has found a love for catcher and center field in the recent years though. Wrestling, newer to him, he loves how it keeps him in shape for his other sport and the challenge it gives him mentally, he doesn’t compete as a team but just himself. It really is a mental toughness sport and he loves the challenge.
Honestly, his older brother Griffin. Griffin fought cancer at a young age and John Luke had a front row seat to watch. Griffin is his hero and the one he looks up to for absolutely everything.
Watching him be a hype man for all of his teammates! He truly loves to watch them succeed and give them encouragement! He will celebrate all victories his teammates reach. sportsmanship, he will be the first to find someone from another team or an opponent he just wrestled whether win or lose to tell them they did a great job! He won a wrestling match at the state tournament and the kid he beat was so upset, JL went and sat with him and told him how tough he was to beat until he was laughing
