What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The biggest thing Johnny loves about baseball is having fun with his team, and proving the world that left handed catchers can actually be viable. He absolutely loves back picking runners at first base, and throwing people out all over the diamond. Whenever someone doubts him on the other team, he builds off of the doubters, and surprises everyone with really good defensive plays.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Shohei Ohtani inspires him the most because everyone says that you can not do both pitching and hitting. Turns out Ohtani is one of the best players in all of baseball. He wants people to understand that he can do it too and surprise the world.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment is when he made this travel team called the Hit24 Longhorns. He tried out as a catcher, and made the teams starting roster as their main catcher. He worked so incredibly hard to beat out a lot of really good kids at that position.
