What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I play sports because I have always enjoyed watching sports for as long as I can remember. Whether it was watching games on tv or attending games with my parents, sports has always been a part of my life. Sports is something I participate in to make sure I stay in check. When i started sports I didn’t get in nearly as much trouble. Sports also keeps me active and I really enjoy playing. Many of my family members played sports too, so I am just carrying on the legacy.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

A person that inspires me both on and off the court, the field, and the track is my dad. He inspires me on the field because of what he accomplished as an athlete and how successful he was in his career as a high school and college athlete. My dad inspires me off the field because he pushes me to be better everyday and to never be satisfied with being good. Greatness is always the goal. Also, my dad does whatever he can to make sure that I succeed both on and off the field, court, or track.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Witnessing him score his first touchdown was my proudest moment. The coach put him in the game as a single man on the strong side out wide. I saw the call from the coach and I got my camera ready. The ball was snapped. He took off and ran past the corner with ease, and caught the ball. He then ran 50 yards to the end zone with me yelling “Run Jr Run” I was the proudest father in the world. Nothing brought me more joy than to see him excited to achieve a goal that he had worked hard for.
