One of the aspects I love most about soccer is the teamwork it fosters. On the field, I am part of a team working toward a common goal. The exhilaration of celebrating a goal together or strategizing during a match creates a unified team that is capable to achieve goals and wins.
All my coaches through the years have inspired me. They have consistently challenged me to step out of my comfort zone, urging me to take risks and face challenges head-on. This has helped me grow not just as an athlete, but as a person. My soccer coaches have inspired me in many ways, shaping my approach to the game. Their impact will stay with me long after the final whistle blows.
One moment that stands out in my soccer journey as a midfielder was during an intense game when I was faced with the decision to pass the ball to a teammate or keep it for myself and attempt the goal . I knew if I kept the ball , I would have less of a chance to score. I ended up passing the ball to my teammate and he took the ball in for a goal. We went on to win the game and celebrating the win with my teammates is the moment I’m most proud of.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
