You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Joseph thrives on competition and thoroughly enjoys testing himself against others. The thing Joseph enjoys the most, is the interaction with his three older brothers who have inspired and driven him in his academic and athletic endeavors. Discussing games, strategy, opportunities, and even class work with his brothers who have shown their little brother what is needed to excel on and off the field.
Joseph has always looked to pioneers in his chosen fields. His first football hero after his brothers was Jim Brown and then Ernie Davis. In football he has worn 45 and now 32. He was inspired by Sammy Sasso, his favorite college wrestler, and his come back from tragedy. Over coming obstacles is a common theme with his heros.
Joseph loves to set goals and achieve them. He has individual and team goals every season. His goals for track this year were qualify for state in all of his events and reach Nationals in at least one. He accomplished his goals and more. In doing this he lowered his times dramatically and set multiple school records that had been there for over 20 years. He took off over 34 seconds in the mile. The work he put in was amazing, and setting personal records in both his events at NBN was great!
