My son loves baseball because it challenges him and fuels his passion. As a pitcher, he enjoys the pressure and strategy. In the outfield, he loves the thrill of big plays and showing off his speed and arm. Baseball teaches him confidence, teamwork, and resilience and he truly feels at home on the field.
His dad inspires him to play baseball because he’s the one who first put a glove in his hand and believes in him every step of the way. He’s at every game, cheering him on, helping him practice, and teaching him to never give up. He shows him what hard work, patience, and love for the game looks like. When he plays, he's not just chasing his own dreams he's also making his dad proud, and that is who inspires him on and off the field.
One of my son's proudest moments in baseball was earning Most Valuable Player of the game not just for his skills, but because of his confidence. He stepped on the field with focus, believed in himself, and played with heart. That game proved to him that trusting his ability and staying positive could lead to great things. It wasn’t just about stats—it was about mindset, and that made the MVP award even more meaningful to him.
