I love track because it makes me feel strong, focused and free. Weather is hot and humid or freezing cold, I still live being on the track running. The weather just adds to the challenge-and I like proving to myself that I can push through anything. Even after a hard workout, when my legs are sore and I am super tired, I still feel proud. That soreness means I am getting stronger and I didn't give up. It's part of the grind, and I actually look forward to it. This is why I love track.
My opponents inspire me. They show me what I need to work on. Their speed, skills, and dedication give me a target—it’s like they help me see what greatness looks like. I don’t always win, and sometimes I miss my goal, but racing against them shows me what I need to fix, how I need to train, and how hard I have to push. They don’t just challenge me—they help me grow.
My proudest moment so far was last year’s AAU Junior Olympics. I came in as the underdog in all of my events—but I walked away an All-American in all three. It wasn’t just about the medals. It was proof that hard work, focus, and dedication really do pay off. That moment showed me what I’m capable of—and that I belong on that level.
