You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
What I love the most is about treating each practice and game as a new challenge. A chance to prove myself and my skill better. Growing together as a team and picking each other up when one of us becomes discouraged. It’s not about winning or losing a game, it’s about seeing what I can do to become better as a player and teammate.
My biggest inspiration is “Big Nick”. He runs an amputee camp called Never Say Never in Florida for kids just like me. Big Nick lost both of his legs in an accident, but still continues to do and inspire others. He is an awesome golfer and one day I hope I can learn to golf as well as he can.
My proudest moment as a parent watching my player was seeing him over come his unsureness. Unsure if other kids and other coaches would see his “disability” over his determination and his skill. I would see his nervousness at the start of every season, and watch as it faded away when the teams would accept him for the kind hearted determined player he was.
