What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Competition. Josiah hates losing more than he loves winning. He encourages his teammates to strive to win. Many times he sets up extra practices with his teammates without the coaches for them to work out together. He’s usually the last kid off the practice field.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Josiah’s father Josh. His father was his biggest fan & always encouraging him. Unfortunately Josh lost his life almost 3yrs ago. At his funeral, Josiah spoke saying he would fulfill their dream of someday making it to the NFL.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This year after a loss at a baseball tournament, the umpire walked up to Josiah and gave him a game ball. He told Josiah “in my 27yrs of umpiring I’ve never seen a kid play outfield and run like you do”.
