Basketball is like home away from home. When my son is on the court, he’s locked in and he thinks of nothing else. He feels one with the court. It’s where he feels the most alive. He is at peace and in his element.
My mom inspires me. she’s a single mother who works tirelessly to make sure my sister and I have food on the table and a roof over our heads. Seeing everything she’s done for us on her own pushes me to be my best on the court. I want to make her proud and show her that her sacrifices paid off.

Ever since then, we pray before every game. It’s more than just a routine. It keeps me grounded, focused, and reminds me I’m never alone out there. I put god first above it all.
