What she loves most about playing soccer is the energy, the challenge, and the team spirit. She thrives on the fast pace, the strategy, and the feeling of giving it her all on the field. The friendships, the competitiveness, and the constant opportunity to improve make soccer more than just a sport—it’s her passion, her outlet, and her motivation to keep growing as both an athlete and a person.
Julia is inspired by Christine Sinclair for her leadership, resilience, and the way she’s paved the path for female athletes in Canada. Off the field, she looks up to her mom, who shows her what it means to work hard, stay grounded, and lead with kindness. Both have taught her that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about heart, dedication, and lifting others up along the way.
One of the proudest moments was watching Julia bounce back after a tough injury—she stayed committed to rehab, supported her team from the sidelines, and came back stronger than ever. It showed her resilience, leadership, and deep love for the game. That moment proved she’s not just a talented athlete, but a determined and mature young woman with the heart of a champion.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
