I love the results. I love that it gives me what I give it. I love that it allows me to spend a lot of time and to travel with my family. My parents work hard but they make time for me to do what I love. I love that it allows me to build relationships and connections with people who love what I love. I love that people know me from what I leave on the floor BEFORE they know my name.
My dad. My dad played basketball in college and he’s instilled in me hard work. In August 2023 and September 2024 my dad tore both of his Achilles. Each time, he was in the gym and with my brother and I present. He had worked us out and watched us play pick up games. Then he got up to show us how the small things and discipline help take you further. My dad’s recovery was tough BUT he never stopped coming to the gym for us. He never stopped showing up for us. He never stopped coming to the gym.
I’m proud that I made the AAU Nike Team for Missouri Phenom. It’s been a long road and I’m excited for what’s to come. Each time that I haven’t made the roster… I stayed in the gym longer, I put my head down and stacked days. Being selected for that team meant that I was on my way up and I was only going to continue to elevate from there. It meant that this was God plan for my journey… Faith without works is dead.
