I love how my coaches push me hard and allow me to see what I can do if I put my mind to it. I love the feeling of winning medals that represent my hard work. I love the happiness on my families faces when they are cheering me on and it makes me want to run faster! -Kailee
On the field it would be one of my coaches, Coach Mike. He’s always somewhere near yelling “Push” and pumping me up to run as fast as I can even especially when I start feeling tired. Off the field it would be my mommy and daddy. They always support me and make me feel that I’m the best and I can be the greatest!
The State Championship meet. I was feeling down because I lost one of my races and got the bronze medal, but I didn’t want to leave without winning, and at that point I had never received a gold medal, so I pushed myself and focused and told myself I could do it and I did! I won my first gold medal that day and I was so happy! I even got ice cream afterwards!
