Karine loves meeting new people who become not just her teammates but her family. She enjoys the practices where she can build on her skills alongside her teammates. She enjoys being able to challenge herself and regardless of the score at the end of the game, she loves the thrill of the sport. She makes it a point to do a self-reflection after every game then practices what she wants to improve upon. She often asks her coach and her big brother how she can improve on a technique or skill.
Karine is inspired by her older brother Kevin and hopes to be as good as he is. She looks up to him and watching him play motivates her. She often looks to him for guidance and ways to improve her skills. Coach Helen and Chad are like her soccer parents. She appreciates how they push her to be her best self , how they encourage her she knows she can always count on them.
It's not just one moment. I'm proud of the way she balances her academics & sports and how she genuinely cares for the betterment of others and the world around her. She's self-motivated, has drive and gives her best in practices as in games. She's keen on fitness and loves to run. She takes leadership roles when she encourages and motivates those around her on and off the field to be the best they can be.
