Receive Text UpdatesKarsyn thrives on sports—they give her a clear sense of purpose. At just 9 years old, she’s driven by hard work and staying active, excelling in volleyball, basketball, and tennis. Playing keeps her focused and motivated every day.
Her greatest inspiration is her mom. Recently diagnosed with a life changing disability , her mom—a single parent—fights through relentless adversity to ensure her daughter shines. This strength fuels her own resolve to overcome challenges. At just five years old, a pit bull bit her face, leaving 19 stitches. Those scars don’t define her; they drive her to push harder every single day.
Karsyn faced something no one her age should have to endure — a dog bite that left her not only physically hurt but emotionally shaken. Most would have paused, taken time off, maybe even walked away from the things they loved. But not Karsyn. Instead, she laced up her sneakers and got back to the game. Karsyn recently played with 6th and 7th graders. She was the only 3rd grader on the team. They gave her the team trophy and lifted her in the air and a new level of confidence was ignited.
